About Me

Dorian swam from the Virgin Islands to Key West, and is the owner and sole mermaid of Barefoot By The Sea: Mermaid Encounters. She is the resident Mermaid at the luxurious Isla Bella Beach Resort in Marathon Key, Florida, featured in the Winter 2020 Coastal Living Edition: Great Beach Escapes. She is a local treasure historian at Shipwreck Treasures of The Keys, and specializes in authentic Florida’s 17th Century Spanish galleon treasure- yes, real Caribbean silver “Pieces of Eight”!
