We are looking forward to better days ahead. We are resilient. We are staying positive. We are making plans for next year. We look forward seeing you at the International Merconvention 26th and 27th of June 2021.
Merman Jax from Dark Tide Productions is our special guest. During the full weekend, there will be workshops about: posing, freediving, yoga… And there will be a mermaid market!
The theme for the merconvention and mermaid ball is art nouveau: “Essence of Mers”. Get inspired by Mucha’s women: elegant, sensual, seductive, and connected to nature. Be a true siren.
All mermaids must be certified and have dive insurance.
These are the new safety rules from TODI. Valid certification:
– Mermaid
– Basic freediving
– Freediving level 1
From AIDA, CMAS, NAUI, PADI or SSI.

1) Minimum age
The minimum age to attend this event is 14. Under 18 (and 14+) you have to have a legal guardian.
A guardian ticket is for people who need to bring a guardian because they are a minor and don’t have people who attend the event to be their legal guardian. It is also for helpers of people who have a disability. The guardian tickets give non-swimming access to the event.
If a guardian wants to be able to swim, then they should buy the normal tickets.

Is it possible to buy a ticket at the entrance?
No, tickets are only available online via Tibbaa.
3) Professional photographers or videographers
3.1) Can I bring a professional photographer?
No, there will be professional photographers and there are photoshoot workshops. Access will be denied for unauthorized professional photographers. You can use a GoPro to make fun videos and pictures.
